When asked about the mistakes he’s made, this guy shows that he’s still fixated on messaging and appearances as opposed to policies and his criminal behavior.
And then there’s this, at the 3:15 mark:
“Not having weapons of mass destruction was a significant disappointment.”
The man just boggles the mind.
Asked earlier in the press conference what he’ll do during his first day in retirement, Bush replied:
“I’m a Type A personality. I just can’t envision myself, you know, the big straw hat and a Hawaiian shirt sitting on some beach,” he said. But, he added, it would probably be a pretty low-key day with him and his wife, Laura, at his ranch in Texas. “I wake up in Crawford on Tuesday morning — I mean, Wednesday morning…”
No, he means Thursday, after sleeping off his latest bender.
BTW, the next “Type A personality” you come across? Club him. Just to make sure he doesn’t get any wise ideas about ever running for president.
